1.5 GB of hard disk storage is nothing these days so why choose this model over the more common 20GB Hard disk players that we sell?

For a start its cheaper than a lot of other MP3 players, even though you do get a lot less storage space than in a 20GB jukebox.

We have occasionally (most notably by iPod owners) been accused of not taking into account the style or design of Jukebox models. Take a look at this little jukebox. It is lovely. Less than 3 inches each way and less than 1/3 of an inch deep - sleek black body. Rrrrrr.

Once again we find that the marketing materials claim that this MP3 and WMA player has some super technology that allows it to hold twice as many WMA tunes as MP3s. Once again, that is less than totally accurate. It's nearly always the ones with small storage capacity that make such bold claims. They're as bad as small dogs: always barking like they're twice their size. Besides, everyone else is making the same claim, so why shouldn't Rio? We could give you a good reason - it's not really true!

Half-truths aside this is an accomplished player.

Rio have been around since the start of the MP3 Jukebox era. They fell off the radar a couple of years back when Creative and Archos started to sell 6GB HD models for about the same price as the Rio 128MB RAM models. They are back with a vengence as this MP3 Player and the Karma prove.

Cost per MB is £0.12 - not too bad for a lower capacity MP3 player.

Battery news:

The batteries are included in the price, rechargeable and removeable. Whats more they will playback for about 15 hours non-stop, per day.

25 hours of music on 1.5 GB of space.

Plays WMA and MP3. Transfer of music is easy. Organising music is fairly straight forward. Transfer is fast via USB 2.

Its not sadly or sorely lacking, but .. 'missing' is an FM tuner, which would really have capped this little player off perfectly. It would, realistically, have bulked up the player considerably though. Everything has its price.

Comes with some very nice, snazzy ses 'phones as standard. Most of the MP3 Players and Jukeboxes that we sell are small enough to fit in your pocket. This player is small enough to lose in your pocket. It may even be small enough to fit in a ladies pocket, but we don't want it to sound too radical.
