The iRiver iHP120, H120, iriver 20, or HP20 as we have heard it called.

The iRiver range in general is reviewed on another page. You can read a review of all those features that the iHP-120 and iHP-140 have in common by clicking here.

20GB of space - once the upper end of the jukebox market, 20GB its now the starting point for most jukebox ranges, including the iHP range from iRiver. It's where the 20 part of the name H120 comes from. 20GB will allow you to store approximately 330 hours of MP3s or 350 if you chose to store all you music as the even more compressed WMA. You can get about the same number of hours of music if you use Ogg Vorbis too.

Ogg fans have been waiting for years for a jukebox to come along that will play their Ogg files and suddenly a couple arrive at once, just like busts.

iRiver iHP-120 (H120) Info

  • 20GB storage
  • Full Record function
  • MP3 and WMA playback
  • Ogg vorbis playback
  • Built in radio tuner
  • Wired remote control inlcuded
  • Large screen upon which text files can be read
  • Slim build, nice style, light weight

Cost per GB is £ 17.25 - which is not bad at all considering the total Audio package that is the iRiver iHP range. It stacks up nicely against the other jukeboxes available and shows up MP3 players like the iPod for what they are. "You get what you pay for" is a piece of old wives nonsense that we hear bandied about a lot concerning jukeboxes. But, just like property, cars, shares or anything else, some jukeboxes represent a good deal, some don't. This is a great deal.

Those other things that the iHP-120 has in common with the iHP-140 (some of which are mentioned in passing in the table on the right) are discussed at some length on a separate page here

The iHP-120 is very slim, its very light and the price is right. If you want to buy one just click below.
